Sailed our first couple of trips out of Pirate’s Cove / Oregon Inlet Friday and Saturday with our friends Tim, Kevin, John, Kylur and Daniel.
Tim and these guys have been fishing with us since we had the little boat!
We had spectacular weather both days and had a little action.
Friday we had pretty good blue marlin action raising 4 to the same teaser, all singles.
We managed to only hang on to one due to some unfortunate circumstances.
The blue marlin put on a heck of a fight and jumped all over the ocean, including very close to the boat!
We set back out and immediately hooked a white marlin, same deal, jumped all over the ocean.
Day two we were treated again with a slick calm ocean.
trolled around all day with out much luck, lots of coverage and not as many bites.
We did find a float and caught a few dolphins for dinner, and continued looking for billfish.
Late in the ninth inning we raised a blue marlin, but he was pretty lethargic and did not give us a very good shot.
Slick calm boat ride in!
Great couple of days with old friends!
