George and Brian went in search of a little meat and Blue Marlin
We found some grass and caught a nice mess of large gaffer dolphin then went looking for the Blue Marlin.
We fished all day and had a little flury late.
We raised a 300# blue marlin to the teaser and he flat out missed the pitch bait!
knocked the short rigger out and hooked himself on the right long rigger.
got about half the spread cleared and he came off
We circled around and had a big girl eat the left long.
cleared the spread and got George in the Chair and Harness but she never settled down, just kept running, I was backing down as hard as the bite me could go, but it didnt matter. she took all the string, about 1000 yds of 100 pound Spectra and Mono. Came tight at the knot and Pow, sounded like a gun going off.
I don’t think ive ever hooked a fish that ran that much that fast.
